Our History
In 1903 five high school girls from Muncie, Indiana had the idea to create a sorority for the advancement of philanthropy and charity. Thus, Delta Theta Tau was born.
More than 100 years later, Delta Theta Tau has chapters all over the country. Additionally, our members are composed of all ages and walks of life. Membership can begin at the age of 18.
We have a National Convention each July where a delegate from each chapter has the opportunity to vote on legislation. This is a great opportunity to meet our sisters from across the country and be rejuvenated with new ideas. Click here to learn about this year's convention.
